Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of dialysis patients? We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Therapy Specialist Nurse to join our dedicated team and lead our home therapies team here at Fresenius Medical Care.

This role is full time, 37.5hrs a week, working variable hours between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.  

This is a field-based role where extensive travel will be required; therefore, you must hold a valid, full UK driving licence. Our head office is based in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of skilled therapy nurse specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Support the generation of new business and maintenance of existing business through the delivery of agreed clinical and product education, training and support across the Fresenius Medical Care portfolio.
  • Liaise with the relevant NHS Trust other healthcare professionals regarding patient’s suitability for 1:1/Group training.
  • Conduct training sessions for patients and their families/carers on home dialysis procedures, ensuring they feel confident and empowered to manage their therapy independently.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of care, conducting regular assessments and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Be an NMC Registered General Nurse with extensive renal experience.
  • Have extensive experience in dialysis nursing, ideally with a focus on home therapies.
  • Have current strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Be an excellent communicator and have great interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest advancements in dialysis care.
